Arden Kate Silver
She's here!! Arden Kate arrived on July 21 at 610 am weighing in at 8lbs 9oz and 20.5 in - what a big girl! My labor started by a little gel induction on Monday evening - I was scheduled to continue induction the next day but didn't make it that far. David and I went to the hospital at 5pm on Monday for the procedure, were home by 6:30 and back at the hospital by 9:00 with contractions coming 3 minutes apart. At the hospital I progressed very quickly - got to 8 cm within just a few hours so we were very excited. But then I pushed for 3 hours and no Arden so finally we went with a c-section and she arrived at 6:10 in the morning.
David cuts the umbilical cord. The doctors actually let David watch as they pulled Arden out of my belly. He of course loved this!
