The two newest Silvers

Poor Annie and Jack, it's only been 2.5 months since they were born and I'm just now posting about their birth. Better late than never I suppose, but I do want to capture the event.

Once I found out I was having twins I was worried the whole time about delivering early and having premature babies. I should have known better, my babies don't like to come out. Apparently I make a pretty comfy home. Arden was a week overdue and then the twins decided to torture me and make it all the way to the scheduled delivery day. But as it turns out they were normal size babies and in great health so we were very grateful. Here I am getting ready for the action (I put on a happy face for this picture, but I was really nervous. Working in healthcare causes you to fear being the patient!).

We had a room full in the OR - two teams for the babies and one team for me so about 12 people I think? At any rate, lots of people for this event! Annie came out first (only because she was positioned on the bottom). She was 6 lbs 10 oz and 19.5 long. Full name Anniston Marie Silver, Anniston because we just liked it and Marie for my maternal grandmother and also my middle name. Hi Annie!

Jack came out next and I just remember everyone laughing because he was peeing all over the place. He was 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 in long. Full name Jack David Silver, named after both of David's grandfathers (Jack is a form of John - David didn't want to do John Silver because he was afraid he might be tortured as Long John Silver - hee hee). Hi Jack!

Much happier now, all warm and snug.

Welcome to the world little Jack and Annie!
